Employees are to be provided with a new helpline where they can report abuses of workers’ rights by unscrupulous job agencies.

The Prime Minister has reappointed Zeinab Badawi from 11 October 2008 and Lady Douro from 3 September 2008 as Trustees of the National Portrait Gallery for a period of four years.

The Queen has approved the appointment of Trefor Owen as an executive Commissioner of the Forestry Commission from 17 March 2008.

The Prime Minister has appointed Elisabeth Murdoch as a Tate Trustee for four years from 18 August 2008.

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Peter John Field Esq DL as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for East Sussex upon the retirement of Mrs Phyllida Stewart-Roberts OBE on 19 August 2008.
