Here you will find a selection of non-political speeches, statements, broadcasts and interviews made by the Prime Minister since May 1997.

They usually relate to matters concerning the PM's role as head of the Government.

Hot topics from 2003

During this year the PM spoke about war in Iraq, anti-social behaviour and the Middle East peace process.

Speeches from 2003

These are pre-prepared and usually given to an invited auidence at a major domestic or international event.

Statements from 2003

These are often given spontaneously by the PM - usually to journalists with a view to addressing a wider audience - but without a question and answer session.

Press conferences from 2003

Question and answer sessions with reporters, often with an introductory statement from the PM. Included here are the regular monthly events held in Downing Street, as well as so-called 'doorstep' interviews.
