Tony Blair held talks with Iraq’s President today, pledging once again his support for the country and its desire for "peace and harmony".
Speaking to reporters afterwards, President Jalal Talabani thanked Mr Blair for his help in liberating his country from "the worst kind of dictatorship".
The PM condemned the "external forces" coming into Iraq who were preventing the country from "having what it wants" through acts of terrorism, adding:
"We remain fully in support of [the President's] desire to see an Iraq in which people from all the different communities can live in peace and harmony together and where the fate of the country is decided not by dictators or terrorists, but by the process of democracy."
