Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani came to Downing Street today for private talks with the Prime Minister
A Downing Street spokesman said:
"Mayor Giuliani asked to pay a call on the Prime Minister, and given his experience in New York and counter terrorism, the Prime Minister thought it would be a good idea to see him."
Mr Giuliani was Mayor during the September 11 terrorist attacks.
