The Prime Minister has appointed Mr Nick Williams to the Board of the Imperial War Museum with effect from 17 March 2008 for a period of four years.
Biographical Details
Nick Williams has been Principal of The Brit School, Croydon, since 2001. He was previously Head Teacher at Thomas Tallis School, Greenwich. He has 30 years’ experience in London state schools as a teacher of English and History. Nick Williams is a registered Inspector for OFSTED and has been Inspector in Southwark during the1990s.
Mr Nick Williams holds no other public appointments and has not carried out any political activity in the last five years.

1. The Museum was looking for a person with significant experience of working in the fields of education and learning.
2. The Imperial War Museum illustrates and records all aspects of the two World Wars and other military operations involving Britain or the Commonwealth since 1914.
