The Queen has been pleased to approve that the honour of Knighthood be conferred upon His Honour Judge Mark Hedley and Richard Alan Field, Esq, QC on their appointment as Justices of the High Court.

Mark Hedley: Born in 1946 and educated at Framlingham College; University of Liverpool. Called to the Bar, Grays Inn, 1969; practice at Liverpool Bar, 1971-92; Head of Chambers, 1983-92; Recorder 1988-92; Circuit Judge since 1992.
Richard Alan Field: Born in 1947 and educated Bristol University; London School of Economics. Called to the Bar, Inner Temple, 1977; QC, 1987; Deputy High Court Judge since 1998; Bencher, 1998; a Recorder since 1999.
