The Prime Minister has re-appointed David Rayner CBE as a Trustee of the National Museum of Science and Industry with effect from 28 January for a further period of four years.
Biographical Notes
David Rayner has been a Trustee of the National Museum of Science and Industry since January 1997. Mr Rayner has been Chairman of Oakburn Properties since 1998. After a career lasting more than 30 years at British Railways, he was a Board Member and Director, Safety and Standards of Railtrack from 1994 to 97. He has been a non-executive Director of Connex Transport Ltd and Catalis Rail Training Ltd since 1998. He was awarded the CBE in 1992.
Mr Rayner has not been involved in any political activity in the last five years.

The National Museum of Science & Industry incorporates the Science Museum in London, the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford, the National Railway Museum in York and the Wroughton outstation in Wiltshire.
