The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mrs Isobel Brydie MBE as Lord-Lieutenant for the Area of West Lothian in succession to The Right Honourable The Earl of Morton.
Biographical Notes
Mrs Brydie (59) served as a Conservative councillor for West Lothian from 1992 until 1996 and is a former member (1996) and Chair (1997-99) of West Lothian NHS Trust. She was a board member of Livingston New Town Development Corporation between 1982 and 1996. In 1997 Mrs Brydie was awarded the MBE for her services to the Corporation. Mrs Brydie has been co-chair the Scottish Campaign against Irresponsible Drivers since 1985.
