The Prime Minister has re-appointed Sir Geoffrey De Bellaigue as a Trustee of the Wallace Collection for a further five years from 3rd March 2001.

Biographical Notes

Sir Geoffrey De Bellaigue has intimate knowledge of fine art and, in particular, French furniture and Sevres porcelain in which the Wallace Collection in strong. He brings hands-on-expertise to the Wallace Collection’s conservation work and, as a regular user of its archive himself, Sir Geoffrey takes a keen interest in the quality of the public services being offered in this area.

Notes to Editors

The Wallace Collection comprises the collection of paintings, furniture, ceramics, arms and armour and other works of art bequeathed to the nation by Lady Wallace in 1897.
