Prime Minister’s Passover message

3 April 2001

Passover is a festival of immense significance for the Jewish people. The community’s meticulous and exhaustive preparations demonstrate an absolute commitment and devotion to the Jewish faith and contribute to the sense of keen anticipation felt by Jews across the world as the festival approaches. The symbolism that characterises the Seder, together with the poignancy and powerful sense of history narrated by the Hagaddah, commemorate the triumphant emergence of a nation which today continues to be proud of its heritage and traditions.

Wishing you a happy and kosher Passover.
