Vice Lord-Lieutenant for the area of Argyll and Bute

The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr Kenneth MacKinnon DL as Vice Lord-Lieutenant for the Area of Argyll and Bute following the retirement of Mr Robin Malcolm. The appointment took effect from 12 March 2001.

Biographical Notes

Mr MacKinnon retired as Senior Partner of D M MacKinnon WS, Solicitors in 1996, having joined the firm in 1962. Mr MacKinnon has been involved in many local and voluntary activities in the community. He has been Chairman of Oban & District Branch of Macmillan Cancer Relief from 1993, was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant in 1996, and an Honorary Sheriff of North Strathclyde at Oban in 1997.
