Forestry Commission Appointment

The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Andrew Raven as a non-executive Forestry Commissioner for a term of three years.

Biographical Notes

Mr Raven (41) is Chairman of the Deer Commission for Scotland. He brings to the Forestry Commission wide experience in land management and environmental issues, having been a land agent and Director of Land Management for the John Muir Trust from 1995 - 1998. Mr Raven is a member of the governing body of the Macaulay Land use Research Institute and the Scottish Consumer Council. In the voluntary section he is a Trustee of the Millennium Forest for Scotland Trust and has been a Council member and Vice-Chairman of Rural Forum.
