The Prime Minister has, with effect from today, appointed Geoffrey Wilson as a Governor of the Museum of London for a term of three years.

Biographical Notes

Mr Wilson is a Chartered Surveyor and has been variously, founder, director and chairman of various property development companies. He is currently a Director of Equity Land Ltd and was formerly a Commissioner at English Heritage. He will advise the Museum of London on the redevelopment of its London Wall site and the management of the Archaeology service. Mr Wilson has not been involved in any political activity in the last five years.

Notes for Editors

The Museum of London maintains and exhibits collections from the history of London from prehistoric times to the present day. It also provides the Museum of London Archaeology Service. Members of the Board are not remunerated.
