National Gallery

The Prime Minister has, with effect from today, appointed Ranjit Sondhi as a Trustee of the Board of the National Gallery for a term of five years.

Biographical Notes

Mr Sondhi is a senior college lecturer with extensive links with local community groups. His experience in education and of working with community groups encompassing many ethnic and cultural backgrounds, stands him in good stead in a post charged with bringing the National Gallery closer to all. He has not undertaken any significant political activity in the last five years.

Notes for Editors

The National Gallery houses the nation’s prime collection of European paintings from the 13th to 19th centuries. Trustees are not remunerated.
