The Queen has been pleased to approve that the following Scottish judges of the Inner House of the Court of Session be sworn of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council:
- The Honourable Lord Coulsfield
- The Honourable Lord Kirkwood
- The Honourable Lord Milligan
- The Honourable Lord Prosser
- The Honourable Lord Sutherland
Notes for Editors
The proposal to appoint Scottish judges of the Inner House of the Court of Session to the Privy Council is in accordance with the established procedure in England, Wales and Northern Ireland by which judges automatically become Privy Counsellors when appointed Lord Justices of the Court of Appeal.
