The Queen has been pleased to approve that Lord Justice Latham be sworn of Her Majesty’s most honourable Privy Council on his appointment as Lord Justice of Appeal.

Sir David Nicholas Ramsay Latham: Born 1942. Educated at Bryanston School; Queens’ College, Cambridge (MA). Awarded Kt, 1992. Called to the Bar, Middle Temple, 1964; Bencher, 1989; QC, 1985. One of the Junior Counsel to the Crown, Common Law, 1979-85,Junior Counsel to Dept of Trade in export credit matters, 1981-85; a Recorder, 1983-1992; a Judge of the High Court, Queen’s Bench Division, 1992-2000. Presiding Judge, Midland and Oxford Circuit, 1995-. Vice Chairman, Council of Legal Education, 1992-97 (Member, 1988-97); Member: General Council of the Bar, 1987-92; Judicial Studies Board, 1988-91.
