The Queen has been pleased to approve that the honour of Knighthood be conferred upon Stephen Miles Tomlinson, Esq, QC, His Honour Judge Geoffrey Douglas Grigson, His Honour Judge Richard John Hedley Gibbs, QC and Mr Richard Henry Quixano Henriques, QC on their appointment as Justices of the High Court.

Stephen Miles Tomlinson: Born in 1952 and educated at King’s School, and Worcester College, Oxford University. Called to the Bar, Inner Temple 1974; QC 1988; Bencher 1990; Recorder since 1995; Deputy High Court Judge since 1996. Geoffrey Douglas Grigson: Born in 1944 and educated at Denstone College; Selwyn College, Cambridge. Called to the Bar, Gray’s Inn 1968; Bencher 1994; Recorder 1985-89; a Deputy Senior Judge, Sovereign Base Area, Cyprus, 1997; Permanent Judge at the Central Criminal Court since 1993. Richard John Hedley Gibbs: Born in 1941 and educated at Oundle School, and Trinity Hall, Cambridge University. Called to the Bar, Inner Temple 1965; QC 1984; Recorder 1981-90; and a Circuit Judge since 1990. Richard Henry Quixano Henriques: Born in 1943 and educated at Bradfield College, and Worcester College, Oxford University. Called to the Bar, Inner Temple 1967; Bencher 1994; QC 1986; and Recorder since 1983.
