Prime Minister's Eid Al-fitr Message

I would like to give the British Muslim Community my sincerest best wishes for the forthcoming festival of Eid al-Fitr.

Eid is a day of giving thanks and of joy. It is a great occasion for the Muslim community and there will be many celebrations taking place around Britain at the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. As well as celebrating with their families, Muslims will be offering special prayers in Mosques up and down the Country. The contribution of the Muslim community to our lives is greatly appreciated by all of us in Government. We welcome your increased participation in all areas of public life and look forward to helping build on this in the future. With all good wishes at this special time.
