The Prime Minister has reappointed Jyoti Munsiff as a Trustee of the Board of the Imperial War Museum for a period of four years from 12 November 2004.

Biographical Notes

Jyoti Munsiff was first appointed to the Board of the Imperial War Museum in November 1999 and has served one term.

Jyoti Munsiff is General Counsel-Corporate with Shell International Limited and Legal Adviser and Company Secretary of the Shell Transport and Trading Company plc. She is a Director of and Honorary Counsel to HRH The Prince of Wales Business Leaders’ Forum and Governor of the College of Law. Jyoti Munsiff is a trustee of the Imperial War Museum Development Trust and Chairman of the IWM Trading Company.

Jyoti Munsiff holds no other public appointments and has not been involved in any political activity in the last five years.

Notes for Editors

The Imperial War Museum was founded in 1917 to ‘record the story of the Great War’ and was set up under the Imperial War Museum Acts of 1920 and 1925. Its remit was later extended to cover the Second World War and further expanded to all military operations involving British or Commonwealth forces since August 1914. Trustees of the Imperial War Museum are not remunerated.

This appointment has been made in accordance with the OCPA Code of Practice. All appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.
