Tony Blair has been in Vienna today for talks between the leaders of the European Union and Latin America. World trade and energy were at the top of the agenda.
Speaking in Vienna earlier, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the world trade rounds, saying that their success would do an "immense amount for jobs and prosperity right round the world."
He added:
"It may seem a very remote issue to people back home, but actually it is of fundamental importance to our own industry and to our own economic future.
"The President of Brazil and myself have agreed to do everything we can to put greater force into those talks to get a result."
Mr Blair held talks with Prime Minister Bachelet of Chile, President Lula of Brazil, President Fox of Mexico, as well as Chancellor Merkel from Germany.
