19 July 2008 - PM in Iraq for talks
Gordon Brown has met UK troops in Basra following talks with political and military leaders in Baghdad.
Mr Brown said he hoped to reduce British forces in Iraq, but insisted he would not set an "artificial timetable" to bring troops home.
